(un)Bothered is about the forces in life that attempt to obstruct or stand in the way of how people choose to go about living their lives. It draws inspiration from other works written to stand for a larger causes than simply the notes on the page such as Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5, Omar Thomas’s A Mother of a Revolution, among others that sought to provide similar messages of perseverance and resilience.

The piece is set to be structured as a short, energetic & inspiring piece that can be placed on any program and programmed by a variety of ensembles.
